You don't need to be playing on a HDTV. But it helps to have a widescreen TV.
Set the Display mode on your Xbox to Widescreen. Also when ive done this i noticed that JTV displays more of the screen than i can see on my TV.

Ok. I have a Dazzle DVC100 and i use Flash media live encoder to stream. Im trying to get my resolution to 640x360 for widescreen but i only can choose 640x480. I tried using VHmulticam to stream at that resolution but it gives me these black lines in the video whenever i do something in game. Just wanted to ask if anyone knew how i could get 640x360 resolution in FMLE without having to use VHmulticam?

Uh...I don't have a HDTV (yet), but I have a SDTV (with those component cable ports) that supports 16:9. Will this work for me?

Not sure, I would try it and see if it looks stretched out or not.
